Data collection

Purpose 1:

Registration of my water sport licence in the VDWS online data base for licences. This allows the online verification of my water sports license(s) without presentation of the paper license and the issuing of replacement licenses by the VDWS in case of loss.

This also includes consent to online verification of my water sports license by VDWS water sports schools to whom I give my name as well as my date of birth or my license number. In case of a change in my licence status (registration or expiry in case of a licence limited in time) I will receive a confirmation email. VDWS will not process my data any further.

Cookies

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

I have the right, as far as it does not contradict legal requirements like e.g. tax and commercial retention periods, to request the deletion (overwriting) of my data record. I am aware that deleting my data record at VDWS also means that VDWS will no longer have a proof of my licenses and will no longer be able to issue replacement licenses in the event of loss. 

Right to restriction of processing (GRDP art. 18):

If I consider the processing of my personal data to be unlawful or if I dispute the accuracy of my personal data, but do not wish the data to be deleted, I have the right to obtain restriction of processing until the facts of the case have been clarified.

Right to data portability (GRDP art. 20): 

I have the right to obtain a machine-readable set of my data.

Insofar as this shall not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others, I am entitled to have the personal data transmitted directly from one controller to another.

Cookies
